What is a Skills Town?
A Skills Town is not just a concept it is every Town’s opportunity for innovation, energy, drive and growth.
If each community can visualise that a way to succeed and prosper can be through teamwork, then our town
could become bigger than its own grid reference.
This swelling in size will generate from business growth and expansion. Pride and achievement of being part
of something new and inspiring created by our Town. We will all play our part in this. Business, local government,
employees, community, education and media. We just have to believe in ourselves and each other
understanding the skills and talent needed taking control of our town’s future.
Is it an achievable vision or just a dream?
A town where peoples skills, well being and personal aspirations are top of its Agenda.
A town with vision for its future growth and wealth. This will makes us different and set
us apart from the rest by relying on each other to succeed. This encourages new and
non traditional high tech businesses to see Maldon as a solution to their growth.
It will encourage highly skilled families to see Maldon as a place to settle and grow.
A prosperous high street will be created being funded by a healthy back street.

itself on the high personal attainment of its community.
